OLD RECTORY CELEBRATES THIRD BIRTHDAY
The Old Rectory has thrown open its doors to local people for a special evening reception to celebrate three years of successful trading.
Held on Monday 3rd November, the event has been staged to say a thank you to customers old and new from owners Keith and Kathy Hanmer and their daughter, Selina Cuss, who manages the hotel.
Commenting on the event, Selina said:
"We have enjoyed a very successful time since we opened three years ago and have established a really loyal customer base. We thought an informal evening reception would create an excellent opportunity to say thank you to our regular customers, but we also wanted to invite local people to come along, have a drink with us and take a look around the hotel at the same time."
"We are aware that many local people may not have been into the hotel even though we are in the heart of the community. As well as offering accommodation and catering for dinners, weddings and special occasions, we are also about light lunches and as many of our local customers enjoy, we're here for teas, coffee and home-baked scones too and a bit of relaxation in one of our squashy sofas."
