Your wedding day is about individuality and creating special memories. Our handsome Georgian house provides the perfect backdrop - set within 3.5 acres of beautiful walled gardens with rolling lawns and stunning views, making the perfect Shropshire wedding venue.

See tariff for accommodation rates, all guests get a 10% discount off our rack rates for a 1 night stay and 20% off for 2 night stays. Please note that the hotel and all bedrooms are non-smoking.
Exclusive use...
For exclusive use of the hotel you must book at least 12 out of the 14 bedrooms available plus an exclusive use fee from £500-£750* depending on the time of year. Exclusive use gives you maximum numbers of the whole hotel and up to 140 evening guests.
*Rate includes function room hire and access to all public areas and gardens.
Non-Exclusive use...
If exclusive use is not booked, you have maximum numbers of the Restaurant and Orangery only, up to 110 evening guests and use of the bar, however, the bar and lounge will be open to the public. You can book up to 9 bedrooms for you and your wedding guests.
'A grand wedding for a grand'…
The Shropshire wedding venue offer! For just £1000, the hotel will stage the perfect wedding day packed with high quality and great value. 2011/12 dates available for up to 25 guests with the chance to add extra guests (up to 52 guests in total) at an additional charge.
A 5% service charge on all food/buffet will be added to your account for all weddings.

Your personal wedding co-ordinator will work with you to choose exactly what you want for your wedding day. The basic ingredients for your day include:
- An exclusive location with extensive grounds - providing the perfect setting for wedding photographs.
- A dedicated bridal suite with four-poster bed.
- Licensed for civil ceremonies, we offer individually styled rooms including a bridal suite, wonderful food and the personal attention that your day deserves.
- Whether you want a small civil ceremony with just a few guests or you choose exclusive use of the hotel, we will take the time to make sure your wedding is tailor-made just for you.
- Individually styled rooms available to guests at a preferential rate.
- The option for a civil ceremony to take place at the hotel.
- A selection of menus to choose from, from canapés to personally selected banquets.
- Ample parking for guests at the hotel.

- Restaurant: 56 with a top table or 52 without a top table
- Orangery: 28 with individual tables or 16 as a block table
- Orangery and Restaurant: 84
- Wedding breakfast including drinks package from £39.50 per head
- Evening buffet, hog roast or b-b-q from £14.50 per head
We are able to hold civil ceremonies at the hotel.
- Orangery: Up to 52 guests
- Orangery and Restaurant: Up to 80 guests
Room hire charge for the Orangery from £150.00.
Room hire charge for the Restaurant from £200.00

"Perfect Wedding Day"
We got married at The Old Rectory in September 2010 and we both agree that the day exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is very picturesque and in beautiful surroundings so we have some fantastic photos of the day.
We booked the venue 18 months ahead of the day so as many brides do I was preparing straight away which involved calling and emailing the venue a lot!! Both Selina and Claire were extremely helpful, accommodating, reassuring and friendly at the same time as being exceptionally professional.
On the actual day the staff were nothing short of amazing, we had invited more guests than would be recommended for the size of the venue but again this was accommodated and with a few tweaks to the table plan everyone was seated comfortably. As the ceremony, meal and reception were all in the same room I was conscious that there might be quite a lot of 'hanging around' but the rooms were turned around so quickly some guests actually thought there were other rooms that they hadn't noticed as the transformation was so quick! So many of the guests commented on the fabulous service on the day.
The food was excellent, as was the service. The bedrooms are all different which is a really nice touch. Some reviews describe the hotel as old fashioned but I would call it a quaint, country classic and suggest that these reviewers would be better suited to a Holiday Inn.
I would definitely recommend this venue to a friend for the location, service and quality of food. An excellent choice for a wedding, celebration or quiet country get away.
